July Ends, August Begins - Declare

Wow!  July has flown by.  July turned into a busy month.  We had the blessing of our annual Camp Yaya, where we host our grandchildren for a few days of sleeping over at Yaya & Papa's, crafts, jumping on the trampoline in the water, and just being together.  It was such a good time.

In the preparing and then hosting, the month was just here and now it is exiting just as quickly as it came.  Life, seasons, are changing.  One grown son and his wife are moving today with a job transfer.  They will be missed, but I am believing the Lord God Almighty has good things for them.  Three daughters are pregnant and we are all excited to welcome new members to the family.  Another daughter begins a new job and I look forward to hearing about it.

I am taking today slow.  Sitting still in the presence of my Father, my Good Shepherd, and just letting His Spirit minister peace to me.

July has felt like a fight even though it has held many good moments.  Some days it has felt like a fight to hold on to faith.  It has felt like a fight to press into time to spend with the Lord.  It has felt like a fight as I have been stretched out of my comfort zone, as I have been honestly, been struggling to hear from the Lord.

So as I sit in the stillness, the word for August written on the page, Declare.  I open God's Word and I read:

"I declare the end from the beginning, and from ancient times what is still to come. I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and all My good pleasure I will accomplish.’" Isaiah 46:10

God knows and He declares what is still to come.  So I declare with Him that His purpose will stand and with all His good pleasure He will accomplish it.

May you find the faith this month to Declare the truth of God's Word and may it refresh you in ways you do not even know you need refreshing.
