Last March I took a prophetic art workshop, by Zoom, in my prayer/art room. This year what a joy to take the class again, by Zoom, but with other prophetic artists at our church.
What is prophetic art you ask? The teacher of the workshop defines it as "visual prophecy through prophetic symbolism...it is Holy Spirit breathed and inspired... resulting from intimacy with the Lord and birthed out of worship." For me prophetic art is how the Father speaks to me in worship. I receive an image, a vision, in my mind through the song. Then I seek to paint what the Lord is showing me.
For these two workshops I find it interesting the Lord has asked me to join Him in a form of play.
Last year, 2025, the Lord said,
My daughter, Sit with me, swing with me, write with me, sing with me, play with me, live with me. In me you live and move and have your being. (Acts 17:28)
The Sovereign Lord has given me His Words of Wisdom, so that I know how to comfort the weary. Morning by morning He wakens me and opens my understanding to His will. Isaiah 50:4
When I am with Him He gives me the wisdom for my daily life.
This year, 2026, the Lord instructed,
Daughter, dance with me. In the dancing He examines me and my worth is revealed in Him. Jesus values me as a vessel, Entrusted.
For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the good news. Our purpose is to praise God, not people. He alone examines the motives of our hearts. 1 Thessalonians 2:4
Jesus entrusts me with His blue fire butterfly (empowerment and transformation, revelation and refinement). He has entrusted me with the Good News - Jesus loves us and delights in us. He came to deliver us from darkness and bring us into His glorious light.
