When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many people admonished him to be silent, but he cried out all the louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Mark 10:47-48
The more the many people told him to be quiet, the louder he cried out. Often the voice of the crowd seeks to silence those who in desperation are crying out to the Lord for help and it all seems like too much. May we have a fierce cry out in our spirit to continue to call out, Jesus, Son of David, have mercy!!
When Jesus heard the man, He stopped and said, Tell him to come here. Now the crowd must bring the one crying out to Jesus. Then Jesus does exactly what the man asked for, grants him mercy...Go, your faith has healed you.
